The Moran Family Foundation

The Moran Family Foundation supports innovative programs that promote healthy development of at-risk children and at-risk families whose lives are impacted by the challenges of poverty.

The foundation invests in Community Based Organizations that work to empower at-risk youth and their families to enhance the opportunity for each child to achieve their full potential. By supporting the growth and development of children and their families, the foundation seeks to strengthen our community.

In 2019, the foundation will add a new dimension to our giving and this will be pursuing opportunities to partner with and support organizations focusing on raising the standard of care, education and awareness level in the lives of at-risk children and at-risk families impacted by polycystic kidney disease.

The foundation makes grants only to organizations that are tax-exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The foundation does not make grants to individuals. Invited organizations may use the “Common Grant Letter of Intent” and the “Common Grant Application” designed by the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers. These forms can be found on their web site at www.washingtongrantmakers.org.

The Moran Family Foundation supports organizations in the District of Columbia as well as in the counties of Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax in Northern Virginia.
